Hardware Engineer
Own the electronics inside the android — power, thermal, sensing and everything that has to disappear into the structure.

- Full-time
An android carries a lot of electronics and is allowed to show none of it. Power, thermal management, sensing and wiring all have to live inside a structure that moves, stays quiet, and holds a comfortable surface temperature.
This role owns that problem.
What you'll do
- Design power distribution and thermal management for a system that runs close to human body temperature without being audible.
- Build the sensing infrastructure: bring many sensor types onto a shared timebase accurate enough that a contact event and the response to it line up.
- Own harness routing, connectors and EMC inside a structure with a lot of moving joints.
- Choose components with second sources, serviceability and recyclability among the criteria, not only cost and lead time.
- Design for efficiency — power saved here compounds through mass, cooling and runtime everywhere else.
- Work with the safety team on electrical, battery and thermal safety around people, from the first schematic rather than at the end.
What we look for
What we're looking for
- Several years of electronics design experience through to production hardware, including boards that came back wrong.
- Depth in at least one of: power electronics, thermal design, high-speed sensing, or EMC.
- Experience with multi-sensor systems and real opinions about clock distribution and synchronisation.
- Comfort working inside tight mechanical constraints set by someone else.
- Care about what happens to hardware after it ships — how it is serviced, and what becomes of it eventually.
Nice to have
- Robotics or wearables experience.
- Firmware fluency, enough to debug across the hardware and software boundary.
- Familiarity with safety standards for equipment operating near people.
