Nexara is small, moving quickly, and making claims that will be examined closely. This role makes sure the company behind those claims is organised enough to stand up to it.

It is a broad role. Some weeks it is operating cadence and planning; others it is a board deck, a partner relationship, or a policy that should have existed six months ago.

What you'll do

  • Run the operating rhythm: what gets decided where, what gets written down, and what happens to a decision afterwards.
  • Own reporting to investors, partners and the board — including the quarters that do not go well.
  • Turn stated positions on safety, sourcing and data handling into policies with an owner and a review date.
  • Manage relationships with external bodies and standards groups, where our work is reviewed by people who do not work here.
  • Build the internal record — decisions, commitments, provenance — that an outside reviewer could actually follow.
  • Support hiring and the early shape of how this company treats the people who work in it.

What we look for

What we're looking for

  • Experience as a chief of staff, or in strategy, operations or corporate development at a company building something physical.
  • Genuinely strong writing — this role produces documents that outside parties read closely.
  • Comfort holding founders and executives to their commitments, and judgement about which ones matter.
  • Enough technical literacy to summarise engineering work without distorting it.
  • Instinct for doing things properly before anyone requires it.

Nice to have

  • Experience with reporting frameworks, standards bodies or consortium work.
  • Background in regulated hardware, medical devices or another field where external review is routine.
  • Policy or public affairs experience.
